Which Moggie jobs you do least like?
Can't say 'hate'.....how crude! And how do you make the task more appealing?
Mine is valve gap setting, more so as I get older - quite an awful back bend! I suppose raising the front is the answer, if you don't have access to a lift. I've just thought of this, so maybe this could be a useful thread.
If this has been done already, please point the fact out.

Fair comment Dan about the torsion bar, I do something similar myself. I always have bother undoing the pipe out of the cylinder though!
You are right saying that there are no truly hard jobs on the moggie, I think problems are just caused by the cars age and previous owners bodges.
Regarding clutch changes, I always take the engine out, its far easier than removing the gearbox. I dont disturb the front panel either.

This is an interesting point. Is the 'worst job' model specific? I’ve only owned A series Minors so have no point of reference but it may be interesting to see what difference the models throw up…..mike.perry wrote:On an OHV engine? You don't know you've been born.Mine is valve gap setting
Try it on a side valve engine then you will have something to complain about!!

Replace them with bolts then you can spin them off with a socket and wrenchUndoing those 40 billion ceased up brass screws around the gearbox tunnel cover!!!

prepping for a full respray is my least favourite job.
I've done it one and a half times - I never finished the second one!
