Well I dont really have any young age recollections of the Moggie as it was current when I was growing up, and my early recollection are of the abandoned cars that we used to play in and some of those were on the streets like Austin 7's & other exotic 30's transport.
Cheers

My sister drove her new £50 saloon home and parked it on our drive way and I was convinced it was a Panda car because of its ears, I must have been 6 or 7. She saved it for me when she stopped driving it and I took ownership of it on my 15th Birthday. The ears still make heads turn.
My best friends dad also had a traveller and I spent many hours stilling with him in the 'boot' while his sisters, mum and dad had the seats.
I can also recall my brother having a blue one for a while but not long. He then got a Mk3 Cortina and never looked back.

Slightly different spin, my Dad's minor was the first car I was photographed behind the wheel of, although I was too young to remember it. The photo still exists though, I keep meaning to get it everytime I go back to my parent's place. Needless to say the little one has recreated the pose more recently! My mom and dad were nicknamed "The Flintstones" by my mom's work colleagues because the car was in such poor condition...
