Okay, I have a REALLY stupid question..

Post by limegreen »

I've been pressing every button in my cockpit for the past... well, since I got her, and I can't, for the life of me, find my hazard lights.

They must either be not there, or... I'm looking too hard.

Okay, now I'm giggling at myself, because this is just about the silliest question I've asked!

No hazards unless someone has retro fitted them....

Well, that cleared that up!

...My ejector seat button is to the right of my possum-holder, it's a shame I haven't got a hole in my roof to be ejected out of though!

Aah, possum holder - yours must have originally intended for export then....

Do you have the wallaby rod as well?

Is it possible to fit a possum holder to a '67 Saloon?

At the moment I've nowhere to store my possum while I'm driving, and the damn thing keeps sitting underneath the clutch pedal (I think it likes the draught from outside)

Every time I go to change gear there is this almighty yowl, and the chuffer comes straight up my inside leg, claws into my crotch as it passes and scoots off to run round the back seat for five minutes straight.

It's playing murder with my vinyl seat coverings I can tell you, a holder for my possum would be just the thing I need!

Mine seems to be fashioned out of old chicken wire, it's just beneath the air con unit! Keeps those feisty possums well out of the way.
And Dan: Nope, I have no wallaby rod - Is yours fitted with such a device?

Alain, try Demon Tweeks, or for a cheaper alternative adapt the Ferret skewer sold by R.O Dent Supplies. :D

Aaah, not bodgett and skarprer? they do a very good aftermarket possum holder.

Mine doesn't have a wallaby rod either. Pretty elusive things them - very expensive option from what I've heard...

Not ANOTHER victim of the old "Wallaby Rod" scam?

Will you young 'uns never learn? Enny fule kno that pre-October '58, only the six-wheel Pick-up was issued with a Wallaby Rod. All other types, including the Rose Taupe Traveller soft-top, still retained the export-only Wombat Pole, tapped to 8 1/2" AF.

If you look closely, you'll see it attached to the top of the bell housing, right next to the pressure switch for the Kangaroo valve.

Tch, tch... I'd have expected you lot to know that.

I was thinking of your car, to be honest. I changed it to "pick-up" at the last minute because I didn't want you to think I was getting at you for <s>adulterating the marque in an unacceptable way to a true Morris enthusiast</s> adapting your vehicle in an unique way!

G'day

Just to set the record straight, all Australian-built minors came with possum-holders and wallaby rods as standard equipment. Koala panels were always an extra cost option.

In any case, retro-fit units to suit most models are available from auto-accessories stores down here.

Cheers
