I have been discussing the idea of moving the auxilallary clock and temp guage from the tacky bracket under the dash, to a position each side of the speedo. Molly has agreed in principle to having two 2" holes cut in her dashboard, but insists that the dials be "broze" colour to match her speedo. Anyone got any ideas how to acheive a good match?
Also, should I stop talking to my car and start talking to my wife??

You could try Speedy Cables (Carbont) (Smiths ) guages they offer a huge range of bespoke dials, colours, bezel design etc etc.

Thinking back a bit, I seem to recall a picture of a later moggy dashpanel which your good selves had made with magnolia dials, that was probably lurking in my sub-conscious when I asked the original question!
