What to do????
I've been quiet for a while now but things are likely to change soon as I kick into Traveller work.
I have been consolidating my cars, and my signature will be changed soon to reflect this. The MG YB has been sold, which is a relief as towing it up here was playing on my mind after the issues I had getting the Blue Traveller here. Likewise following my recent purchase of a yellow Spitfire the BMW has left the fold too. So, for the first time in a long while, the youngest car I own is 38 years old.
I still have four cars, one for everyday, one for my Fiancé and Annie, because she’s going nowhere, and a ‘spare’, which is currently loaning different items out to the saloon while I recondition it’s ones in readiness for the gold-seal engine.
My quandary is this; with the appearance of the Spitfire the desire to gut out and rebuild the Blue Traveller with Marina running gear has vanished. If I’m taking the family I’ll use either the 948 saloon or the 1098 traveller, when it’s just me I’ll use the Spitfire. The question is now what to do with the Blue Traveller? My aforementioned other half is trying to get me to sell it, but I’m reluctant to do this. I’ll be welding her Traveller for a while to get it back on the road so Lottie will be left until at least Christmas before anything happens. Part of me does feel I’m over subscribed at the moment with four cars. Therefore should I sell Lottie to a good home where she will be restored and driven or keep hold of her and restore her when time and money becomes available??
Just wondered what the consensus was?

I'm tempted to buy a 4 door locally, but that would mean I would have to make decision about my Blue traveller which I've had for years. I've decided to try and keep hold of it (I have dry space available) and basically learn how to weld so that I can do the work needed on it over time. As with you I've become slightly attached. Doesn't help you much, but just to let you know some else is in a similar position.
Gertie, 1962 Saloon, Milly, 1969 Traveller (ex APL 971H) and now KAS 1958 4 Door Saloon.
