1098 Throttle cable Length?

Post by BigDawgV8 »

Hi,

Can someone do me a favour and measure their throttle cable?
I need to know the approximate length of the inner and the outer cable please.

Any help much appreciated

The longer the better! Within reason of course - to get a nice long radius curve. I'm not going out to measure it - but I would say ~ 36 " will be plenty.

34 inches minimum for the outer cable, a bit extra won't matter

Throttle cable

I measured this recently and cross checked this morning. The original cable sheath on the 1098 cc was 24". The aftermarket (ESM) cables are 26" and are just right when fitting a larger carb. I would think 36" as being far too long but you could trim it to fit.

I stand corrected, 24ins outer cable on both cars plus 9ins inner cable
