In the last 2 days my van has developed a habit of losing power when driving along, enough to have to pull to the side of the road and has cut out completely serveral times. it starts straight away afterwards and might be fine for the rest of my journey any idea's before i have to kill it ?

Vacuum in the petrol tank? Take the cap off - listen for hiss!
Sticking fuel pump - listen for it 'not' ticking.
Fuel evaporation before it reaches the pump - listen for the pump ticking wildly!

cleaned fuel pump made it into work ok but then i did yesterday, will check rest later
