Hi
Can I assume that the engine bay and the boots interior are the same colours as the car, ie in my case Trafalgar blue??
Could someone help, please!

From sometime in '57 the boot was given a 'Black Tarred' finish for all saloons. The engine bay is body colour.

My saloon was made in approximately June of 1957 and that has the black tarred finish.....because Ive spent the last 3 days trying to get rid of all the damn stuff ready for spraying

What is the best stuff to use then in the boot area to blend in with the original tarred finish? I have an excellent boot area with virtually no corrosion and want to keep it like that! Presumably underseal with waxoyl not a good idea as doesn't set completely and will muck up tools and spare wheel etc
