24psi all round on a saloon, 24/26 F/R on a traveller, 24/28 F/R on van but tht's just my personal preference. As long as the pressures are within reason and equal across the axles the Minor is quite tolerent.

When I had new tyres fitted on the pick-up the garage said 30 all round - is this too high then?

I think so. The original cross ply pressures were, I think, 22/20 F/R.
GPO vans had the pressures 24/28 stenciled on the wheel arches

tyre psi

I recently acquired a Traveller and have been following the guidelines in the Haynes/owners manual which specify 22psi all round. The car drives very well with these pressures but I am now wondering if the figures were intended to apply to cross-plys?

Me too no probs on 30psi. Prefer the firmer ride and no doubt it's a little better for fuel consumption.

30 psi is fine - the handbook figures were inded for X plies, and definitely too low for radials !
