I really think the moderators should stop people using profanity like "Cl*rkson" and "T*p Gear" on this forum
.
I haven't watched the programme since the days when it was a motoring programme, though I caught about ten minutes of it recently, when I happened to switch on the TV and saw a steam engine. It soon degenerated into the format which has meant that I no longer watch it and I either switched off or changed channels.
It wouldn't surprise me if they have smashed another Marina or a caravan. The Marina may not be on my list of top ten favourites but I'd sooner have a Marina than a modern mobile circuit board and I have no wish to smash one up. I think the three muffins on TG are trying to tell us what "Real Men" they are by disliking Marinas and despising anything with a maximum speed of less than 150mph.

Its not so much what Top Gear does to Marinas as what other people will.
I mean a Marina will attract attention from many by bein an old car but now its and truely on stage. I wouldn't want to park one at my college car park for example, I'm pretty sure it would take a disturbingly short time for somebody to decide to jump on it. Or at least flop all the windscreen wipers out and nick everything that isn't fixed securely, radio antena springs to mind...
Its a shame, and the Marina Owners Club are suffering for it.
Somebody on the marina forum suggest they all clubed together and dropped a brass band on a Ford GT40 as a joke and a reponse on the TG forum read as such

Sadly the Marina owners club will never be able to drop a brass band on a GT40 becasue they can't buy one out of tax payers money...

If they were actually able to pull their polyester-wearing fat*sses off the couch, wipe the Cheetos off their fingers, waddle over to the telephone, press the digits with their fat, gormless fingers, manage to convince some other fat, gormless **** on the other end that they were worthy of taking out a bank loan, pick out the remaining change from under the Barcalounger, waddle their fat folds to the nearest classic car emporium, spread their cheeks onto the seat of a GT40, convince the classic car salesman that he's not a pedophile and won't be attempting miserably to pick up his teenage daughter/son (the hardest damned part), breathe heavily, mash the pedals down with their Stride-Rites in a manner that perpetuates forward momentum, steer with their elbows towards the nearest brass band, haul said brass band onto a suitable height with some sort of crane apparatus, and drop it onto said GT40, while devouring the third Little Chef burger of the hour, then I'll be too impressed to be angry.

Sadly the Marina owners club will never be able to drop a brass band on a GT40 becasue they can't buy one out of tax payers money...

I was once villified on another motor related forum for questioning what Top Gear had turned into. I think its for little boys and should be shown at the same time as The Woodentops.
Bring back Quintin Wilson and William Woolard and lets get back to a proper format for cars and motorists. The last episode i watched in its entirety had J.C. comparing the merits of a Porcshe Carrera with a For Anglia 105E. Nuff sed ! !

Wasn't aware a new series of Top Gear was being broadcast. I just happened to watch it on the iplayer and caught the Jaguar XFR clip... what a car! Anyway the program can't have that much credibility within the motor industry. I mean, when did we last see a car on there from Toyota, Honda, Ford... the big money spenders when it comes to R&D. You get the Mercs and the BM's and the Jag on this one but to be honest nothing really stands out.

No credibility, but mud sticks so the industry is often reeling when he's done a hatchet job.Anyway the program can't have that much credibility within the motor industry.
