Good point re: Carrying a spare coil. I recently purchased a new coil and dizzy cap for just this reason. Inexpensive insurance I reckon. And as you say - having them in the boot means the originals will never fail!!
So there's oil inside the coil? This is to keep it cool I am guessing? And does it ever need topping up etc?
