Rad out, bumper off, remove 2 ba nuts securing chrome grille surround then remove 1/4 bsf fixings beneath bumper securing grille to chassis front section.
In reality you will probably find the 2 ba nuts will remove the studs in the chrome surround pieces.

Like most jobs it will take three times as long as you allowed for, especially if it hasn't been out since 1968

Cheats way:! Large supply of cereal boxes. Slide these between Rad and front grille to mask off rad. Using masking tape 1" wide run this round the entire chrome grille surround. Next using newspaper mask everything from chrome surround outwards leaving only grille to be sprayed visible. Tape paper to paintwork (won't damage if left for 1-2 hrs.) Sand down grille. Clean with a damp cloth and dry well.

Using a spray can the coloiur you want the grille spray using short bursts of spray (this avoids runs/dripping ) Leave for 1 minute and do again. Continue until whole grille is sprayed completely. Leave to dry for 1 1/2 hours. Gently peel off all masking tape/paper. Leave cardboard for a bit longer to give paint a bit more time to dry before removing.
