Boot lock

Post by iwant1 »

Anybody know if the morris minor boot lock is the same as the mini one? I have no key for mine, its locked and the shaft has no number on it to get a key to match!

Yes, I do have a Mini one for spare! (MK1 Mini type). The keys are the same as the Minor one (FS series).

If you can try a few different FS keys then it might open if the lock is a bit worn (most are).

i dont have any fs keys! my door and ignition key is an old union padlock key from what i can tell!! So a mini one is okay then, does it bolt on in exactly the same way? Dont mind if it looks a bit different.

Yes, but the square pin is shorter. It does work fine though (well mine has for the 2 1/2 years I have had it)!

It looks like this:

Did you already have a Mini one then?
