Electronic distributor

Really just to say how creepy things are sometimes...
I was at the local yard yesterday trying to find an early Maestro as I have info on how to adapt the electronic dizzy to fit the Minor. Couldn't find one, but found a late A series Metro with the later Lucas electronic dizzy. Spent an hour dismantling it, trying to work out if it could be adapted. Finally decided no it couldn't and put it back on its donor. Came home and what did I read in the latest "Minor Matters"? Someone describing how to adapt same dizzy to fit! Hairs on the back of the neck started to rise!

Snot! The early Maestro with the "R" series had an electronic version of the "conventional" 45d body style. The later Lucas dizzy is in two bits, held together with 3 screws, and a screw on cap. Sorry if I was a little ambiguous with the Maestro reference, R not A! Don't suppose you would find many "R" series Maestros now!
