To be honest Kevin, I have never had a problem and here in the Top End it very rarely gets below 30c. I use a coolant made by a company called Tectaloy, nothing particularly special about it and quite cheap. I went for a run out to Kakadu National Park last weekend 240km round trip, 33c and not a problem. My mog is in pretty original condition too. It has an Australian MOWOG radiator, I don't know if these are any different to the British ones but maybe that's it. Less traffic here, maybe it's stop/start driving that causes the issues.

There's no maybe about it - I've had it plenty of times, and know it happens to others, ONLY in stop start traffic on hot days.

Some cars are more prone to it than others - hence one year in a massive queue to get in to the national rally, a handful of Minors conked out, but most kept going and some had no problems.

Fuel starvation at other times is prety unlikely to be vapourisation. We had no hassles with fuel vapourisation when driving the mog in West Africa with ~40C ambient.
