Woodwork companies
Hi all I've narrowed it down to 3 companies for the wood quite a variation in price
Woodies is the most expensive then traveller timbers in Hull and lastly ALT Timber fabrications in Wales, does anyone have a preference as to quality and fit.

ALT have ceased trading. I tried to order some things from him 2 years ago. Vikki's wood came from Traveller Timbers in Hull. They base their wood profile on a 1962 traveller (which mine is) and Steve Forman (Woodies) wood profile seems to be from the later Traveller (slightly more angular). I have also had prducts from him. I find both companies excellent and very helpful.
P.s. Traveller Timbers don't charge VAT (unless they've changed recently) and Woodies do - does make a difference if you're on a tight budget!

The fit will depend on how much welding has been done to your car in the past. It can change the whole shape of the wheel arches over time, which will make the fitting of the new wood difficult - (I know we had trouble when refitting ours) Sometimes some welding work is required to get the car back to the original shape.

As has been said i recently got my rear doors from Traveller Timbers, i also got a n/s foot rail and n/s front wheel arch. I had the 2 new sides in a job lot of spares but these 2 parts were damaged and there were no doors.
The quality of the new parts is excellent plus the price on Traveller Timbers web site is the price you pay, and when i spoke to them the postage was £14.00 for the 2 doors the wheel arch piece and the foot rail.
I had a text message to tell me when the parts were collected from them with a tracking number and received the parcel next day.
I live close to Birmingham minor center their doors were £145.00 + vat and didnt include the filletts for the windows where as the ones i have just received came with them.
