Minor Relic - Saloon Resto Anyone?

Post by BigDawgV8 »

Hi,

In my quest to find a new project my neighbour suggested that I have a look at a saloon his friend has in his field.
Comments like ''it has only been there a few years'' and ''the damage is only recent'' sounded a little ominous!!!
Worth the look thought I and here is what I found.

BTW - it's in a copse surrounded by fencing across 2 fields from the nearest farm track.
''apparently the engine is good though''.........................

What do you think???
Image
Just what I was thinking. :D

The local kids have had a field day.
The glass is smashed, roof is caved in and it looks like a small fire started inside.
Best to leave it to the wildlife.
BTW - thats an old Volvo estate in the background for company.

Good grief Martin I know you like an ongoing challenge and are quite tall but the nettles alone look well over 6ft tall I suppose you used a zoom lens & step ladder to get the closeup.

Are you looking for juat a base vehicle to start with as we now and again get offered the cheap free variety, I will have a gander to see if anything is currently available.
Cheers

I'm 6 foot 5 and those nettles were head height! :o
No ladder, I just walked through the nettles (I still had my work gear on!) and snapped away.

Thanks for the offer. You have p.m.

See you next week mate.

Cheers

Martin :D

Hope you wore a welding mask to protect your face. Those nettles look very fresh and painful

We'll see you at Hatfield on the 12th :D
