I bought Dolly Clacket (a 1958 four door saloon) about three weeks ago, and have just started to "sort her out"- (in the nicest possible way!) The steering wheel is the the 3 spoke type, with the horn push being on the indicator stalk. Can anyone tell me what type of centre wheel badge would have been on the car, and whether they are easy to come by? Sorry if this sounds a bit basic to many of you, but I'm new to Minors, and would appreciate any advice.

I'm no help at all, but if you mean the 3 chrome spoked wheel, if you find the center part let me know ? Althoug I always thought these had the horn in the centre and not on the stalk ?
Yes, my spares car (1963) had a three spoke with a horn push in the middle. Austin Allegro's had similar stalks to the Minor, but had a horn push feature too. A not so rare conversion.

From memory I think Morris kept changing their mind about centre and stalk horn pushes, so your car may be correct for it's year. I take it your car doesn't have a centre button with a red 'M' on it surrouned by black?
The early "1000's" had the horn push at the end of the indicator stalk. Changed to the "modified" type, horn push on steering wheel boss from 704254(Traveller), 705622(2 dr sal.) & 705224 (4dr sal.).
there was a red morris bull on a silver background, made out of clear plastic which sat in the steering wheel with that type of stawk. no picture sorry.
Thanks for the picture Cam- the wheel and stalk set up looks exactly the same as mine. Bull badge it is then! Are these badges still availble, or is it a case of striking lucky at an autojumble.

You should be lucky at one of the Minor Meets, I found a good
centre badge of this type for £1, unfortunately the clear plastic
seems to craze over the years but you will find a good one
eventually. ( if your indicator is not of the self cancelling type
then you will probably,like me, keep leaving it ON) I bought
a simple 12 volt buzzer which buzzes in time with the flashers
and reminds me to switch the flashers off>
Thanks Willie. As a new Minor owner, I haven't had the pleasure of going to a Minor meet yet- but I'm drooling at the prospect (there's so many bits and pieces that I need!) I know exactly what you mean about the indicators- like you said, they aren't the self cancelling type, and nine times out of ten I'll leave them on when I shouldn't! Still, all part of the fun. Good idea about the buzzer- I'll give that a try.

E-Bay can be a good source as well, especially if you click 'items available to the UK'. New old stock (i.e. original parts) come up quite often on US / Canadian E-bay.
If you do go on e-bay, don't get carried away with it...
A horn button recently went fpr £53 but realistically you shouldn't pay more than a fiver for second hand (especially as MOT failure cars are often given away free!!)

£53 for a horn button! I've bought things off e-bay before, and I know how easy it is to get carried away- but £53 sounds a bit crazy.
