Grease Points

Post by ani »

Can someone provide me with a definitive list of the grease points please.

I've got
steering knuckles (4)
Steering tie-rod ball ends (2)
Prop shaft universal joints (2)

What am I missing?

Thanks

Some handbrake cables have grease nipples.
Door hinges appreciate some grease now and then too.
Some oil or grease into the steering rack is good practice ( nipple under a rubber bung in the passenger floor).

The trunions are the most important grease nipples. It is worth giving them a squirt every time you take the front wheels off.
Don't forget the oily bits, carb dash pot (3in 1), dampers, door hinges.
I also oil the hand brake cables at the back where the come out of the outer casing as they tend to rust and fray at that point.
