Bo'ness Steam Railway -Classic car event
All welcome to come along on 21 June - free steam train rides for entrants! Phone 0131 661 4276 for an entry.
Could make it the Scottish 'web rally'!
SRPS are putting on a special 'Mixed Traffic Gala' show - with several different trains running. If you come along to the Guard's Compartment (Teak Coaches) - I'll let you wave my green flag!!

Just putting this back to the top - the event planning is now well advanced - there are a huge number of trains being run on the day - probably the most we have ever run in one day - with several different steam locos and even some diesels! Entry to the event includes a free train ride - and for £4 this can be uprated to a full 'Rover' ticket to allow journeys on all the trains all day long!
Highly recommended - don't miss it! Just turn up on the day with a Classic Vehicle and ask for Charlie Reid - who will issue the rail passes.

Sounds fun, sorry I won't be able to make it!

If it doesn't work, you're not hitting it with a big enough hammer.

just wanted to say a big thankyou to bmc_ecosse and the rest of the SRPS team. We went along and had a lovely time. Unfortunatly Molly (the minor) was left at home and we went in the Commer as we needed to take the bikes ,but it was very nice nevertheless. Parked next to a rather nice TR7!

I think I saw 4 minors, the traveler below a white saloon, a white convertable and the red van advertising the Car Museum. Didn't get a chance to speak to any of the owners though
too busy chasing after the kids (and stopping them damaging any cars)

Nice to meet you Roy!
Any plans for future shows at Bo'ness?

Glad you enjoyed the day Rupert (+ very well behaved kids - at least when I was there!) - great to see you there, although I was rather busy Guarding - so didn't have much chance to chat. It was a hectic day for the organisers - they were still shunting the stock away at midnight! But very successful - and well patronised. I'm sure there will be similar events in the not-too-distant future.
