Just wondering what insurance people have for daily driver Minors? Ive had Classic car insurance for about 15 years with Vw's and with the classic car insurance you should have another "normal car" insurance policy for a "1st" car as classic cars on a classic policy should only be used as a second car and used occationally hense the limited milage and agreed value etc
Has anyone got a classic insurance policy that covers them for use as an only car and has an agreed value with no limited milage ?
Tried the search option but get every post ever posted
Yes I'm with FJ and have been using their ulimited-mileage insurance for my daily drive ('67 2 door) for years ... they are excellent, and good value too
Use the MMOC club scheme. Used to be with Aon, but now taken over by FJ. Three cars, all daily drivers, fully comp, unlimited mileage, business use, just over £100 per year for all of them.
My daily minor is insured with FJ too, I think mainly due to my age I still have a mileage limit on mine, I just have to hope I don't exceed it, though i imagine if I phoned them up they'd extend it for a small fee...

Cheers .....Just ive always been told that i had to have a "normal" car insured with a "normal" policy for Classic insurance....and i didnt find that out for many years of driving on just classic insurance...I DONT TRUST INSURANCE COMPANIES!! anything not to pay out
I'm with the Club's Aon scheme too, though I made sure I told them in writing that it was my main car. Apparently even if you go for the unlimited mileage option they still assume it's not your main car.
I've used quite a few different classic car policies - most were for a 'second car' however I used FJ to insure a series Land Rover as a main car - again with no problems.
These days the ones that are for second car policies will ask registration number of your main car. Quite a few have done that but maybe some don't.
