Not very comfortable for driving long distance on the motorway though!bmcecosse wrote:I'm surprised you didn't just go with a Series 1 Landy - on the original 1600 engine, not too bad on fuel - especially if you put it on LPG! !

If it doesn't work, you're not hitting it with a big enough hammer.

I would tend to disagree, having done many thousands of motorway miles in a Minor over the past couple of years.bmcecosse wrote:Neither is a Minor!
The reason I sold my beloved Series 2A Land Rover was because it proved impractical for my daily motorway commute.

mkay - oh no, we weren't going to use landy brakes for it! that'd be silly! actually.. we do use bmw brakes on our landrovers.
aaanyway!
i was originally thinking of getting an old series 1, but i changed my mind, i've been around the things my entire life, my dad would likely completely bastardise the poor thing, like most of our landies, and they're everywhere in my area. I wanted something a little more.. moggy-like. oddly enough, i did almost end up with a Zastava 750 (google it if you don't know!)
glad i got the morris though!
