I,ve always wanted to do something like that with mine but the insurance premiums wont let me, I would suggest you join the NSRA and insure it as a full blown hot rod although at your age the money will be frightening.

this is a bit of a vauge deffination of gasser its not exactly right but then it is from wikipedia
Gasser (manga), a fictional character also known as Heppokomaru
A term that refers to a certain style of hot rods. Typically will have a straight axle front end, raised suspension and the car will have been substantially lightened for drag racing purposes. Gassers ae usually connected with 40's, 50's and 60's cars. They were at their most popular in the late 50's and 60's. Gassers have seen a bit of a resurgence of late.
Someone or something who gasses in its various meanings
basically its a drag race car that runs on pump gas but in the 60's they fitted straight axles as the tyres wernt as grippy then so they got all weight to the back to get it to hook up
One thing to note is that fibre rear wings are pretty pants ... I had a set that I was going to use on mine - I figured they would weigh less ... not only do the fibre wings seem heavier than pattern steel ones, but they just dont fit!
With a steel wing it will bend slightly to fit the shape of your rear arches - I tried and tried to get fibre wings to fit, and in the end bought some steel ones which fitted easily.
If you havent already bought fibre rear wings then dont bother, front fibre wings on the other hand are absolutley fine.
