I don't like mayo

Post by HUMBLEPIE »

I checked the oil in my moggy this morning and noticed a small amount of white mayonaise in the filler cap. When I bought her back in October and checked the filler cap there was none. After I bought her I had her serviced I also had a temperature gauge fitted which mean't a head of a mini was sourced so it could be fitted, the garage fitted a temperature sender unit which they thought wasn't correct as the gauge barely moved. In May I had her mot'ed and a correct temp sender unit fitted and now the temp gauge reads just below half way. So I am hoping now that as there was only a small amount of mayo this problem has been resolved. Any comments would be appreciated. Steve

You need to run the car on decent long runs - and you need to make sure the crankcase ventilation pipes are all connected - and not blocked with sludge. It's not a serious problem - don't worry about it!
