Family Fleet Policy - Heritage

Post by ani »

Does anyone have any knowledge of this type of policy - is it more economical? Also if all cars have existing insurance that runs out at different times do they manage to sort this so that they all start at the same time.

Bearing in mind a few of you seems to have "Minor Families" I thought you might have tried it

What's RH?

According to the wording on Footman James's website they don't cover pick-ups!

As its under the club scheme I don't see how they can refuse to insure a pick up - have you actually asked them direct?

Nope - but I'll call them tomorrow. Do you have to be a "proper" member?

Yes - you have to be a member of the MMOC to qualify for the club scheme.

Received a good quote from FJ - seemed quite happy with pick-ups :o maybe its because I said I was a MM Member :D Only think is ALL vehicles on a fleet policy must be registered to the policy holder - don't have to be owed by the keeper though! Still over the year this will be a saving of between three and four hundred pounds :-) ................................I expect that will go towards welding :-(

Sorry ani I've only just got back in, but I see that Louise has now given you a link.

By the way, does the FJ policy have breakdown cover like the one from RH?

My FJ policy does - came in very handy when Lin's engine blew up in Wales. :)

If it doesn't work, you're not hitting it with a big enough hammer.

Yes it does - also provides European cover for 30 days I think. Anyway no harm getting a quotation from RH. Many thanks
