Is this a standard part that would be found on most other Minors? It would be a bit unfair to post a picture of your supercharger air intake or something... ;)

I'm now going for the arm that sits in the slot on the later heater, but with that cut out, I'm unsure..

But I've never seen a heater that shiny you'd get flash reflection from it......

My money is with Rob and the wiper idea, I just can't work out what the grey line is.......

Perhaps a Macro Lens or setting is required for these close up images.......
