No indicator warning light

Hi,
The light on the end of the indicator stalk has stopped working, though the actual indicators still work fine.
Where is the fault likely to be?

If it's just a case of a blown bulb then how do you remove the bulb?

And if its the wiring then how do you remove a mountney steering wheel?

Normally the plastic cover over the bulb just screws off, and then the bulb comes out and replacement goes in... and you then find you've dropped the little cover, it has gone *somewhere* never to be seen again, and you then have to get another one of them too.

Not that I had this happen a few times while dealing with a series of dodgy flasher units around this time last year...

I would guess its the bulb too, however, if the wheel has to come off you carefully prise out the black plastic centre bit and you will find the usual large nut underneath....

Try bulb - then flasher unit (and the connections) - very unlikely to need to take the wheel off.

Thanks, in the end it was just the bulb needed changing. I swapped it with the one on the other car that's off the road, yet another part I need to remember to buy at some point.

Make a list now and put it in the parts car. If, or when you decide to sort it out it will be a lot more reliable than your memory it will save a lot of trips to the motor factors or orders to on-line parts suppliers.
If you replace parts as you go it will make it more likely the car goes back on the road.
