seat frames
gday all,we have removed front seats from our mm to recover them, and as you will know the bit you sit on is in two pieces legs and seat frame .my problem is when we go to refit frame to legs How do we attach them ? They were held together by twisted wire ties ,surely there is a much more durable method of fixing these together from a saftey point at least. I would have thought in a major crash wire ties would noy be substantial enough.

I had the same prob few months ago:
these are the threads:

I had 4 spring clips holding the frame vertically, but my upholsterer secured the frame with some plastic tie clips all around.
Hope this helps

thanks one and all for your input.have obtained a sample clip and going to manufacture something like it to complete job .hopefully more robust than the twisted wire ties that were in place when dismantled .onward and upward eh ceeyas
