Potteries Branch Rally - 14th June!

Post by Cam »

Hi folks,

Just a shameless plug for our rally at Foxfield on 14th June (this coming Sunday).

We have had some really good branch rallies this year so far and we hope this will be a good one too at a popular venue. :D :D

You are welcome to turn up on the day, but if you need more info, have a look here:

http://potteries.mmoc.org.uk/PotteriesRally_2009.htm

See you there! :D :D :D :D :D

Well, Geoff says that he's booked the weather so he's to blame if it's bad.

Mind you he did not say WHAT weather he booked.

I didn't get around to entering (sorry Gill  ) but I will be there on the day - maybe a bit late & a bit bleary eyed as I'm at a Silver Wedding do in Derby on the Saturday night :D

Hi Cam, we should be there on Sunday, but it will be around mid day. Only just sending the form off as an entrant, defenitely not for competition!

Totally agree with you there Leafie, only made it for the afternoon but we had a great time. Thanks to all.

I felt sorry for the family in the widened yellow convertable though, as they were shocked by the amount of negative, angry, comments they received. It takes all sorts to make the world turn.

Great day out thanks to all @ the Potteries Branch. We got to within 3 miles of home and Bella (convertible) blew the head gasket (we think) so the we had a rather noisy last 3 miles under RAC escort!

Hope we didn't jinx you with talk of our head gasket change Lou :)

Hope you get her fixed soon.

Thanks - no we'd have a small overheating problem but it seemed "fixed" with a new water pump. We've got all the parts. We'd had a perfect journey up to Stoke and all the way back until she suddenly went! She'll be back on the road soon!

I think I'm right in saying it won best modified so he had the last laugh. Although sadly he had already gone by the time the awards were given out.

Yes, Richard had the last laugh and he attends quite a few rallies with us so we'll pass his trophy on to him when we see him next.

We had a great rally and thanks to all who turned up.

Sorry to hear about your gasket problems, Lou! Must be catching! Geoff has had the cylinder head off today and as we expected, the gasket has blown through between cylinders 1 and 2. He's already replaced it and should be ready for the Transport Festival at Trentham Gardens on Sunday! :o

Lou, we'll be at the National on Friday after lunch I expect, so see you there! :D :D

Just shows where the time, effort and money has been spent.

After almost 10 years inside her Carcoon I think it might be time to re-commission Ellie, and do a bit of 'pot hunting'.
