well ,I'm toying with selling my split screen to refurb my scimitar gtc.the car is on original plate pye 458.four years ago I turned down an offer of £1300 for the number(Theres a haulage firm in the midlands called PYE and he wants all his trucks on that number) If I was to keep the car, mine for twenty years +,I would never sell the number on. But If I was to put it on the market there would be two prices ,one for the car as it is and one for the car minus the number,Don;t see why someone else should gain by selling the number on,because they would,The car has an emotional connection to me,so whilst its mine it stays as it is,hence the 20 years, but If I was buying it without that connection I would have no hesitation in selling the number, its probably worth as much as the car.I.m with BM there's more snobbery and one upmanship with new regs.

I`m with BM on this one I bought a brand new sedona 8 years ago and put an A reg plate on it so nobody knows the age of the car its only done 44,000 miles and still looks new, neighbours next to one of the house I rent out have always had brand new cars as soon as the new reg comes out just to show off, up until a few years ago their car was worth more than their house can`t handle people like that :-?
