Bioot Lid Stay Clip

Post by markattard »

Just found out that my boot lid, on the series II, has three holeswhere the boot lid stay clip is supposed to be fitted. The clip that I have, has just two holes and would not fit in two of these holes.

I was just curious to know if MM series had some different clip using three holes or maybe there was another plate which had to be fixed underneath the clip? Suspecting that the boot lid is from an MM or some other type of car...

Any clues appreciated

If they're threaded hole, then the lid is from a late-ish (post '64) Minor. They are the attachment point for the automatic boot prop.

The Series MM/II boot lid has two holes above the number plate for the Morris reflector badge and has two small holes on the right side inside the lid to hold the spring clip which holds the boot prop.
