Hello all.
I just got Some new number plates (white plastic letters on black pressed alluminium) and I want to hang the front one under the bumper but I can't see any brackets or anywhere for it to hang from. (My old number plate was attatched to the grill when I bought the car.) How do I go about hanging my number plate/ what parts do I need?
Thanks in advance.

Hi David,
There should be a metal 'bracket' under the middle of the front bumper valance with two holes at either end. These can be used to fix a number plate backing plate to and then the number plate. The backing plate is available from most of the online Minor parts traders. Quite often though the valance has rusted away so the fixing holes may not be there. I had this problem and needed to fit a new front valance.

There's supposed to be a part sticking down from the bumper valance, but it can easily fracture and break off. If that's happened and you don't want to weld a repair piece on, you can make up a new bracket that attaches to the two middle bumper bolts.

If it doesn't work, you're not hitting it with a big enough hammer.
