Hi all, Would anyone know if the fuel gauge sender from a 1958 saloon model is compatible with the fuel guage on the black faced speedo from a later minor? Thanks.

Later cars use a thermal 'hot wire' slow moving gauge Jeff. hence need for the 10 volt 'stabiliser' affair on the supply feed. Early cars had simple voltmeter/ammeter type gauge - where the needle swings quickly as the car bounces along.

I have just changed the post title as it could be confusing calling it a fuel pump sender when there isnt one.
