Steering wheel lacquer?

Post by Idral »

The lacquer has almost completely gone on my steering wheel, has anyone elce had this problem? If so what is the best option to get it back to what it should be like?
Should I be using 'back to black', some type of paint or what?

Thanks for all your help

Is it the later 2 spoke wheel?

I have never heard of anyone painting their steering wheels. For the cost of a good 2nd hand one, it might be better to fit a replacment wheel.

I bet someone on here has a spare in good condition that they can supply you with.

Don't use back-to-black, it makes things really really slippery!!!!
Then it'll make your hands slippery, and it gets everywhere, and and and... It's horrid stuff.

Fit yourself a replacement wheel - it'll be much safer. I think you can buy new ones for a price... but your best bet might by a good used one from someone on here.
Happy Minoring!

eBay or autojumbles at Minor Rallys. Or place an advert on this board in the 'Wanted' section.
