I've bought Katiekat's "Bertie Blue"!
Or I should say, we have agreed a deal - money changes hands during this week, and paperwork is completed, and BB arrives at my son's in Uttoxeter next Friday week (hopefully)!
Okay, anyone want to point me in the direction of classic insurance, etc? I am about to sign up to the Owners' Club (I wouldn't do it until I was actually an owner).
I am so excited! Oh frabjous day, calloo, callay!
PS - I'm thinking of renaming him... possibly even a gender re-assignment...
At last! We have lift off!

I live in Pembrokeshire, West Wales. I have been looking for a Minor for about six months, I think. Like you, I have been to see a few, and have been underwhelmed on each occasion, bar two. In the last case, I made an offer only to be told by the owner that he was holding on to it until May when he was going to go in for the scrappage scheme... as you said in another thread, I won't say exactly what I think... that one was in Harold Wood, Romford, Essex, five minutes away from my mother-in-law's house.
The best one, in terms of its condition, that I have seen was actually the very first one, and it didn't meet its reserve on e-Bay on two occasions. It is actually a cracking Morris - 1968 two door "Smoke Grey" (very pale blue) and is still for sale. If you want the guy's number and name (and e-mail address) I have it. If I had had the money at the time, I would have bought it, but we couldn't reach compromise figure and anyway it was the first one I'd seen which nobody ever recommends buying. It's in Gidea Park, Romford, Essex.

Blimey... you travelled a good distance from Wales, it was obviously worth it, I'm only just over 20 mile away from Katie
I keep looking in my local area as I'm not able to travel a good distance anymore due to the vast ammount of medication I'm now stuck on
No doubt something will turn up at a show now the seasons well underway.
