The limit is 98 decibels, but I'm hoping to drop in next week to check on the requirements.ie sound limit, helmets etc, so should be able to post details later.

Hmm well up for that Jonathon- in the middle of fitting bike carbs, bigger cam and Magajolt electronic ignition so may not be ready in time... If I can't get the Minor running I'll still come up in the daily driver.
Well, had a great afternoon down at the Haynes Museum, had a long chat with the aimiable Tim who runs the track.
Its a 1Km circuit and is very tight except for two long straights, should be great fun for both standard and modified cars. There are two viewing banks from which you can view the entire track and take pics. The rules are quite strict for this venue, ie helmets must be worn (we should be able to provide a selection for those without). and only one car on track at a time. The noise level is a static 98 decibels.
We have a few ideas on how we would like to use this track and will post them on here as soon as we have discussed them with the MMOC.
Any questions please ask away
As stated earlier, I'd love a test drive in the 350bhp 2 door but don't want to put my bog standard car onto the track. Can you book me in for Sunday? I've been advance driver trained and have previously driven at 138mph so I shouldn't be too much of a liability
So it was you I saw whizzing along with a large dark blue car chasing you and the Traffic Cops camera crew in close persuit! Like you I've done the advance driver training and done some rallying (never on a circuit though) Don't think I will be able to have a go- the regalia table wouldn't fit in the boot!!
Have I missed mention of the date ?
Love to be there even in my guise as a non-moggy owner.
As soon as I saw "350bhp 2 door" I was thinking cossie - 350bhp in a minor seems unthinkable. Wont the laws of physics be busy trying to rip it to bits? lol.
Louise, the track is very minor friendly and the max speed most will achieve is 50mph down the straights. Modifieds should touch 70mph ish.
But the end section is the most fun ,being very tight, we were using 1st ans occasionally 2nd in a tweeked Clio, although this was mostly on 3 wheels
D, the dates are 27-28th June
If I still had mine i'd ditch the seats, spare and everything else that wasn't essential and give it hell.
If it blows up, it blows up. Only takes an afternoon to chuck in another lump.
If the misses is off that weekend I'll be there, albeit in my '87 escort 'modern'.
We should have a selection of helmets Kevin. Prices are not yet finalised, but should be around £2 for 3 laps as passenger in our demo car, then £2 for two laps in your own. All proceeds are going to charity.
Sounds good to me so put me down for both your demo cars and a go in my own car which will probably take as long for the 2 laps as the time taken for the 6 laps in your cars.
Cheers
Kevin
