Oh heck, we've just got another one.....

Post by alzax3 »

We'd only gone to the scrapyard last Friday to get a bit for the Corsa, when Liz spotted a forlorn little shape hiding in the corner....... which turned out to be Maude, a '62 rose taupe traveller with 6 months MOT that the scrappy was selling for a friend.
Liz couldn't resist her (she was rather a bargain!) and we brought her home today - here's a couple or three pictures:
liberation from a rather dangerous place:

out on the road at last:

the usual local traffic jam:

back home, and that one dark piece of wood is the only one needing any attention. (other than the usual overall varnish!)

Doesn't mean I'm not going to rebuild the white one, it just takes the pressure off!

Love the numberplate - it looks very nice and great to be rescued from such a place!

You could have towed those two cows home - would have sorted you out for milk for the next few years :D :D I didn't realise how similar Cornwall was to India

Thanks for all the kind words and encouragement!
First car we've had that has a 'pull-the-knob' starter, though the tractors do have 'pull-to-stop'!
'Does this mean the van may be for sale now?????' Sorry, no - it just means Liz has two amazing moglets.....(I've just got to avoid getting a saloon to look after as well now :-? :D )
