Sorry to be so ignorant of such matters but I have not had an alcoholic drink for about 13 years! (probably explains a lot!)
Dont think it makes you ignorant Cam quite the opposite, when the rest are falling down you will still have a clear head, and in the morning I know who will feel the bestter.

so where can i get some CORDS piston rings for standard 1098 pistons?

If they are still available your local engine reconditioner or local engine machine shop is where they used to be avilable from, if you get stuck I still have an old fashioned engine machine shop locally and will ask if you want me too, but you will need the piston size, standard +20 thou etc.
