K-series conversion

Post by whittamuk »

Hi - new to these forums but liking what I see! Hoping you guys can give me some advice...
Moons ago I was going to fit a Rover k-series to my A35. I decided the 8v (single cam) 1.4 running carbs would be closest in spirit to the original thing without needing to upgrade more than just discs and teles.
However - embarassingly soon after buying a Caterham bellhousing, a low mileage injected engine, recon carbs and manifolds and sourcing a type 9 gearbox, I lost all my spare time & cash (fatherhood) and these items are apparently not suitable ornaments for a little girl's room.
So - the A35's going historic and this lot's going on ebay. But how much do I ask? Do I sell separately or fit everything together ready to go?
cheers
Sam

Definitely list all the goodies separately , but link them to indicate the complete kit for fitting . you tend to get some who are interested in only one item and they will bid this up for you

I use as a starting price :
1/2 the new price for very good 2nd hand parts
2/3 - 3/4 new price for unused new parts

They definately need to be in the dining room if you don't have a back porch! Mine are in both
