Help finding drain plug on 1098 radiator

Hi All,

Can someone give me a pointer as to where the drain plug is on a 1098 radiator, please? I'm working from a manual that only shows a Series II rad which seems to be different.

I've managed to find a drain bolt on the cylinder block but it doesn't have a tap, and I can't find anything at all on the radiator. Am I being really FICK???

Many don't have a drain plug - best way is to simply remove the bottom hose - that way you will get a full 'flush' through the rad to clear it out. I've PMd you the link for the Workshop Manual

The block drain is certainly worth taking out - and if no water emerges - start it by pocking with a piece of wire! Often the blocks can get completely blocked at the rear. A good flushing with a hose pipe can help cooling considerably.

If you take the rad. out it is worth having a drain plug / tap fitted.

Us boys with MM's have been spoilt with a proper taper ground drain cock a doodle diddley - we can't accept anything less!

Yes, you can't say drain cock a doodle diddley but you can say drain penis
