Crich - 10th May

Post by moggie-tom »

Is anyone on here going? Am hoping to go myself if she holds out all the way there. It will be my first Minor event and wouldn't mind meeting some of the other members.

Hi there. I am hoping to go as it is my first too. What is this web rally about? Is it the same as the National one?
Thanks

Just J-j-j-jiggle it a bit.

Not sure what the web rally is, maybe someone will enlighten us. Crich is about 70 miles from me albeit mostly on the M1 so thought it would be fairly easy to get to, looks quite an interesting location too. Will be my first long drive in the moggie and first time on a motorway, eek :-?

I am booked for the Morris Minor Day anyway. It is about 2.5 hours from me I think (Cambridgeshire) so it will be a long trip but should be worth it. As a learner I have only been on dual carriageways so Dad will do the Motorways. I prefer the back roads though, she handles quite well round corners.
It will be my first really long drive too and the motorway can't be much different than the dual carriageway.
Hope to see you thereand I hope the weather holds out.
Are you taking your 2 dr (if that's the car in the pic)
Steve

The "Webrally" is a rally of all the people who post on this site. We usually hold about 2 a year. The first outing this year is to Bletchley Park (home of Colussus the first computer built to crack the German codes during WWII) Sunday May 10th start 10.30 in the Asda/Ikea carpark in Milton Keynes. There is a thread entitled "Web Rally". All further details are posted there. Hope to see you there :D

Damn, Its closer than the Morris Minor Day. However I can't go as I have exams coming up and can't really afford 2 days off. Any idea when the next one is and where?
I'd love to come.
Steve

You just need to keep an eye out.

The web rallys are normally organised a month or two in advance. Normally one in Spring, one in Autumn...

Yep it's a 1964 black 2-door. Gonna go to the Web Rally instead, it's a little closer although getting to Bletchley Park seems a bit more complicated. Maybe catch you at another rally Steve.

I am bucking the trend & going to the Morris Minor Day - I am a huge fan of Crich Tramway Village & always enjoy this event. I will be in my Black Series 11.

We won't be at the website rally OR Crich this year :( as they both clash with a large local event for us where we have a club stand. Cholmondeley Castle if anyone is interested. :D

Cholmondeley Castle is a lot closer than either of the other two to me. Less than 1 hours drive compaired to over 2 for the others. I may well hunt you out on Sunday.

Well you know how to make me want to be in 3 different places this weekend. Luke likes castles as well as museums, and likes Crich too!

If the coin really wants you to go for the third option it'll land on its edge...
