Sticking petrol pump.....what can be done?

Post by grahamt7 »

If i gift it the gentle tap, it resumes production.

It's about 3 years old, can anything be done other than replacing it?

Or fit new ones! But 3 years - dear oh dear. The original pumps used to last a good 20 or 30, even 40 years without giving any problems !

yes give the points a cleaning by dragging some card between them. also check what state the points are in, if there badly pitted change them, but after 3 years a good clean should sort ithem out.
