AU, we always pay on the day. The difference in price doesn't really make it worth booking in advance imho

You can pay on the day Dennis but my pass etc arrived quickly so you should get it in plenty of time for the rally if you send the application off now. The rally windscreen sticker is much better than last years cardboard effort

There isn't any difference in price. Just makes it a bit quicker on arrival to get onto the campsite.

I seem to recall there being a small difference in price - around a fiver...

Only if you want to sell a car, otherwise all prices are the same. There have in the past been discounts for pre-booking but not this year.

I stand corrected. The link states that rally entry will be £15 if not pre-booked so you have to pay an extra 50% more.

A whole fiver? wow! Might have to take out a mortgage for that
My thinking is that my life is normally so up and down that even if I intend to go, fate will conspire to screw it up for me and I'll have lost a tenner if I can't go....

Well to some people that's a lot. The way I look at it that's a few bits and bobs from the autojumble so if you know that you're going why not pay in advance? (although it won't be ideal for everyone)

What, the Traveller and the Fiesta?
The fiesta is now dead and buried. The engine is now Mondeo turbo intercooler. The second car is the cabriolet.

Hi Dale,
If you download the application form it says £5 per night for camping (for two tents or one caravan). I'm assuming that this is the price per 'pitch' although I don't think they have marked pitches and it doesn't say how big a pitch is. If it's anything like last year you just pitch where you can. I presume that if you turn up with just one tent you''ll still have to pay £5 but maybe someone else here knows different??
