Hi
I understand that you need to get some frames that fit underneath the metro seats so that they can go in the Moggie. Can anyone tell me where you can buy them and what sort of cost they are
Many Thanks
Keith

The latest Newton seats are based on the Rover 100 seats - not at all like the Metro seats they used to do (I know I've got the latter) They come complete with the base so don't need anything else (4 point mounting underneath) If you get a set of older Metro ones CW in Bath do do a base for them which bolts to the seat and follows the floorpan of the Morris. We got some they were about £30 ea + p&p. They are not very deep so the Metro seats are quite low down in the car. (not too good if you're short

Charles Ware. That's not a recommendation, BTW, just providing information.keithSB wrote:Thanks Lou I think I will follow up on the CW Bath lead as I think my seats are quite old, but as a newbie can you tell me what CW stands for?

If it doesn't work, you're not hitting it with a big enough hammer.

The Metro seats in there standard fitment (metro or Rover 100) mount to a crossmember at the front and are suspended on a bar that bolts from one side to the other at the rear. If you get hold of to of these bars it is a fairly simple job to cut the centers out and weld them between the inner sill and the trans tunnel of the minor. They are pre drilled for the metro subframes and you can set them to any hight you like. Its a good idea to add a gusset to the trans tunnel tho.<br>
