Hi David,

Have a look at this video - will provide you with truly boring information about the Minor heater. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 7494577230
I'm sure others will provide you with better info :-)

Great, what an interesting video. Thanks Ani, how on earth did you discover that, or did you have some involvement in its production, director maybe.

Oh dear, here is Kay getting stuck in removing some animal nesting material from the back of the dashboard, I think she was hoping to find a little field mouse to keep as a pet.
Image
If I directed that I don't think I'd tell anyone about it :-) No I just came across it on google and as bad as it is I just had to watch it all! I'd like to clean mine up at some stage so do let me know if you found it useful.

well I only watched as far as getting the heater out, but I'll be revisiting later on to follow up heater maintenance. here's a shot to show what Kay was clearing out, looks like our furry friends made a little home here. I wonder if they were neighbours to those living in the fuel tank. As every mouse knows, You get a better standard of living behind the dashboard.
Image
once the heater is out it is simply screws that holds everything in place
the most common cause and i suspect it may be the case in your heater david is the matrix that gets clogged and leaks
and unfortunately i dont think that new matrix`s are available any more

i have serviced many heaters and is a very easy job to do :D :D

That's easy - go to your profile and upload the picture under the signature bit. I like it too!

I think its my pickup smiling, because its happy at being rescued, either that or its laughing at the scale of the job it's new owner has taken on.
Thanks eaupickup for the heater tip, I'll be as careful as I can to save the heater, if the matrix's are hard to find it's worth saving this one.
