Rusty bits below the doors...

Hi there,

There are distinct signs of rust coming through on the bit of the car next to my seat (where the door closes) ... I don't know the technical term ! I will evidently have to look at this fairly soon. Before starting to take things apart, could someone give me an idea of the worst case scenario as what I'll be looking at and what could be involved? The rust is going along in a straight line where the 2 bits of metal join.

if its inside the car then thats the inner step and floor

Put up some pics ! But it's likely the first showings of rusty sills - if so, major work I'm afraid.
