I'm looking for ideas for refurbishing the cab of my van - seats, carpets, door cards etc.
If you have pics of your custom interior, especially if it is very light in colour, it would be v useful to see 'em
I'm keen on "vanilla" for the seats and door cards (will more or less match the Rolls Royce Ivory paint on the cargo area interior) and am thinking of brown carpet. Pondering piping and/or stitching in a snazzy colour (red?) or in a mid-tone between the ivory and the carpet. All thoughts and experience welcome!
I'm also struggling to find non stock interior/dash pictures. Are there not many about?
I think you both need to get to a Custom meet / show at least then you should be able to see something that will inspire you even if its not from a Moggie, and the standards tend to be as good as the concours cars are for finish.
Cheers

I have a very nice kit of parts to make a wooden dashboard.... A wooden glovebox door, wooden bits that fit round the speedo, and a open wooden thingy that goes around the drivers side glovebox...
Not fitted them to a car (or van) yet, as I'm not sure that I like them. The drivers side one is cracked but will glue back together. They need a clean and a varnish.
It's that old two minds problem of mine again. I quite like the standard dash board (I wish I could get hold of a left hand drive glovebox lid!) and although I'm going to be modding the running gear, I'm not sure wether putting in this dash is just too much...... Certainly I've near seen anything like it. Maybe it would be better in a traveller?

hi i have loads of pics of custom minors go ing back 20 years will have a look and see if any show the dash
i personally have modified every dash in all the minors i have owned
and it all comes down to personal taste some you will like and some you may not .
this is one i am working on at the moment .
I'm in the process now of doing my dash up in curly maple and engine turned aluminum. Thinking of doing small production runs for sale. I'll post pics as it goes along....
Hi,
I've been messing with my dash recently, you may already know although my speedo worked it didn't read the right speed, so I got my garmin watch and marked speeds on my speedo where they should be! Then took it apart and painted it, then remarked new speed points. I moved my indicators back in to the speedo and the petrol gauge(reading but not sure if correct yet!)
im still not sure where to have the tacho,(notice all the wires) i may put it in the dash when i get new dash panel. maybe?
