I'd agree with BMCs comments about wooden commentary......

At least the racing is better this season though. I've got to record this GP as I'm in the car at 7am driving to maidstone for a reptile show....

[quote="mike.perry"]Well its the Chinese GP on Sunday, Button is leading the practise times and diffusers are now legal (what ever they are). Missed the last GP so this will be the 1st one I'll get a chance to watch on the box. Is the BBC coverage as good as ITV (without the adverts)?

Hi Mike ask your better half she will know what a diffuser is
I disagree with the other comments as its great not having breaks as something always seemed to happen when they were on. and I think the commentators just need a little time to settle in (hopefully)
Cheers

The commentary is like hearing the list of horses being read out at a race meeting! It's absolutely hopeless!! And they miss very obvious problems developing, all the time. I was of course only joking about the tea breaks! But the 'safety car' comment is very true.

Having input from a race engineer was a nice innovation this time.
I think it is Jonathan Legards commentary that is a bit "wooden" I get the feeling from his voice that he has no interest in F1 and he seems to be incapable of actually sounding excited about anything.
If he came up with the obscure statistics without the help of a researcher I'll take back the bit about lack of interest.
F1 has got a lot more interesting now that no one team is dominant.
