hi folks, the oil breather/vent pipe that is just behind/to the side of the fuel pump, what do other peiple do with this? i would've thought like minor, run it to the air filter, but i have no real place to do that unless i cut a hole in the top of the K&N plate. any advice would be appreciated...
that, my friend, was exactly what i wanted to hear! to the ground is my kind of thing!
out of curiosity...heard catch tank being bandied around, what exactly is a catch tank?
Nuffink much - a tank at the end of a pipe (sometines containing wire gauze or other filtration) which allows the oil vapour to collect as oil. which can be, um, responsibly disposed of. 'Trick' on the custom scene used to be to use a beer can - very "cool", ahem. Some swear (vigorously) by sucking the stuff back into the engine, but try just venting it and see if it does the job, though some filtration or collection woud be nice if it does.
I bought a small round filter approx 50mm diameter similar looking to a K&N filter. It has a spigot and I just pushed it into the pipe and secured with a jubilee clip. This works well and looks smart aswell. I thnk I bought it fom "motorworld" for about a fiver.
