engine mounts

hi guys

is it possible to change the engine rubber mounts without taking the engine out

can i just prop the engine with a jack and take out the towers and mounts

Yes you can, I did the same job last weekend.
It only needed one tower removed too. The nearside one in this case.
Keep an eye on the clearance of the heater tap, this car has the brass one with a wheel on top which left plenty of room.
The cable operated one give less clearance and might need to be loosened/removed.

If you can get the 4 bolts holding the tower undone you should have no problem. Keep an eye on the exhaust clearance.
